1. Why is the movement to restore neighborhoods important to you?

Dallas is really good at creating entertainment districts but really bad at complete neighborhoods. I want to raise my children in a great place where they can get a good public education, get into trouble on the streets, and get connected with our neighbors.

2. Why do you want to be involved with this movement?

Strong neighborhoods feature diversity among the residents in the community. As a small business owner married to a teacher, I want to make sure that there is a place for us in the New Dallas.

3. What does the word “neighborhood” mean to you, and where do you find that in Dallas?

A neighborhood is the center of life for many individuals of different ages, cultures, and incomes. It’s a shame that there are so few places in Dallas where you can live down the street from your parents, grandparents, and good friends.
